We had a great plunge into live radio today with an hour-long segment on public radio's "The Kojo Nnamdi Show" for WAMU in Washington, DC.
The segment, titled “From Bay to Table: An Oyster Renaissance On The Chesapeake,” discussed Chesapeake oyster aquaculture in general, specifically focusing on Barren Island Oysters!
It was a pleasure to speak with Stephan Abel (Oyster Recovery Partnership), Spike Gjerde (Woodberry Kitchen) and Steve Vilnit (Maryland Department of Natural Resources) about the resurgence of oysters in the Chesapeake Bay.
You can hear the whole discussion or read the transcript at http://thekojonnamdishow.org/shows/2012-12-12/oyster-renaissance-chesapeake.
They also sent a video crew down from D.C. to film us at work on a rainy winter's day. Check out the video in our videos section here!
